Marie Antoinette - Let them eat cake - double charm necklace

Marie Antoinette is perhaps best remembered for her legendary excesses, for being married to Louis XVI of France at age 15 and for her death: she was executed by guillotine at the height of the French Revolution in 1793.

The longer chain features a classic image of the Queen Marie Antoinette which has been placed in a beautifully decorated Silver plated locket (30mm x 22mm). The locket is fully openable so you can store a picture of a loved one or a small item close to your heart.

The shorter chain hangs delicately above and has another delightful cake charm after the famous quote .."Let them eat cake" ..a quote which is thought to be her most famous but some historians say was a misunderstanding.


The longer bottom chain is 18 inches, the top chain is 16 inches. The closure is a bar and ring clasp which is secure yet easy to use and attaches to both chains so they sit well on the neck.

If you'd like different lengths of chain you can choose any length up to 24 inches for the longer bottom chain and 22 inches for the top chain.
